Tom was close to and shared many interests with his brothers. Four of the Thomson boys traveled to Seattle between 1899 and 1902. George was the first to arrive in 1899, studied law and operated The Acme Business College. Henry was next, followed by Tom and Ralph in 1901. Both Tom and Ralph studied at Acme and found work as commercial illustrators. George later returned east to study at The Art Student's League in New York. He like Tom, eventually devoted himself to painting and exhibited his entire life.
We believe this is a photo of the Thomson men at the Seattle Engraving Company. (l-r) Henry, Tom, George, Ralph and Fraser.
